Promotional PeriodThe Promotion starts at 7:00am AEST on 24 July 2026 and ends at 11:59pm AEST on 24 August 2026 (the Promotion Period). 
Entry RestrictionsEntry is open to residents of Australia who are 18 years and over (Entrants) and who represent a school or sporting club.
Entry MethodTo enter, participants must visit https://www.oranges.com.au/oranges-competition/ during the Promotion Period and fully complete the competition entry form. Use 25 words or less in your answer to the question “why you love oranges at half time”. 
Maximum entries permittedOne entry per school or sports club. If more than one entry from the same school or junior sporting club is selected among the top 100 entries, the prize will be awarded to the entry from that school or junior sporting club that was received first. Any other shortlisted entries from the same school or junior sporting club will be disregarded and replaced by the next highest scoring eligible entry.
Game of SkillThis is a game of skill.  
PrizeThere will be 100 x $100 VISA gift cards
Value of Prize PoolThe total prize pool is $10,000. 
Conditions of PrizeThe prizes, or any part of the prize, are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash, unless otherwise specified. 
Winner selection All eligible entries received during the promotion period will be reviewed by the Promoter on their merit based on creativity, relevance to the question and overall quality of response. Judges decisions are binding, final and no correspondence will be entered into with the Promoter. 
Prize Winner NotificationThe prize winner(s) will be notified by email by 5:00pm AEST on 26 August 2026.  
Prize Claim DateThe prize(s) must be claimed within 10 days. If the prize(s) are not claimed by this date (5 September 2026, 5:00pm AEST) the prize will be forfeited by that prize winner. The Promoter will then determine an alternative winner or deem that the forfeited prize will not be awarded. 
Unclaimed Prize Re-DrawIf required, when a prize is forfeited, the promoter may select additional reserve entries. This will take place at BITE COMMUNICATIONS Pty Ltd ABN 39 142 971 426 of Suite 7, Level 1, 22 Darley Road Manly NSW 2095 on behalf of HORTICULTURE INNOVATION AUSTRALIA LIMITED ABN 71 602 100 149.

Terms of Entry

  1. By participating in this Promotion, entrants are deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions. To the extent of any inconsistency between the Schedule of Entry and the Terms of Entry, the Schedule to Terms of Entry prevails. 
  2. Employees and officers (and their immediate families) of the Promoter, Hort Innovation Australia Limited and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter. 
  3. Entries must be received during the Promotional Period. Any entry that occurs outside this period is invalid. 
  4. The $100 VISA gift card will be sent to the winner’s email address. This will be confirmed by the winner via email within 10 days of being notified of the win. 
  5. This is a game of skill. All eligible entries received during the promotion period will be reviewed by the Promoter on their merit based on creativity, relevance to the question and overall quality of response. Judges decisions are binding, final and no correspondence will be entered into with the Promoter. 
  6. If more than one entry from the same school or junior sporting club is selected among the top 100 entries, the prize will be awarded to the entry from that school or junior sporting club that was received first. Any other shortlisted entries from the same school or junior sporting club will be disregarded and replaced by the next highest scoring eligible entry
  7. The prize will be subject to the issuer’s terms of use and is valid until the voucher expiry date stated on the voucher itself. The prize cannot be transferred or converted to cash, nor replaced if lost, stolen or defaced. 
  8. Once a prize has left the Promoter’s/supplier’s premises, the Promoter and its agencies and companies associated with the Promotion will not be responsible for any delay in delivery, loss or damage to, or caused by that prize. In the event for any reason a winner does not take the prize when specified by the Promoter, then the winner will forfeit the prize, and cash will not be supplied in lieu of the prize. 
  9. Where a prize is unavailable for any reason, the Promoter may substitute the prize for a prize of equal or higher value and/or specifications, as determined by the Promoter. Any cost associated with accessing the Promotion website or submitting the entry is the Entrant’s responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service provider used. 
  10. The use of any automated entry software or any other mechanical or electronic means that allows an Entrant to automatically enter their details and claim repeatedly is prohibited and will render all claims submitted by that Entrant invalid. 
  11. By submitting an entry, the entrant warrants that:
    (a) the response is their own original work; and
    (b) the response does not infringe the intellectual property or other rights of any third party.
  12. Entries that are incomplete, offensive, defamatory, misleading, fraudulent, generated by automated means, submitted outside the Promotional Period or otherwise not submitted in accordance with these terms will be disqualified.
  13. By submitting an entry, the entrant grants the Promoter and Horticulture Innovation Australia Limited a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to use, reproduce, publish, communicate, adapt, edit, share and otherwise use the entry and any content submitted with the entry for promotional, publicity, educational, reporting and marketing purposes in any media, including websites, social media channels, advertising, media releases, publications and future campaigns.
  14. The Winner has rights under the Australian Consumer Law (including a provision of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010) which cannot be restricted or modified by the promoter. 
  15. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the promotion, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following: 
    i. any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); 
    ii. any theft, unauthorised access or third-party interference; 
    iii. any correspondence that is late, lost, altered, incomplete, incorrectly submitted, delayed, corrupted, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (including but not limited to entrant error or omission, alteration, tampering, deletion, theft, destruction, transmission interruption or communications failure); and 
    iv. any tax liability incurred by an entrant.
  16. If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter (including but not limited to by reason of computer virus, network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures) the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law to terminate, modify, cancel or suspend the promotion, or invalidate any affected entries, as appropriate. 
  17. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including the claimants’ identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who the Promoter believes has submitted an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or has tampered with the entry and/or claim process. Errors and omissions will be accepted at the Promoter’s discretion. Identification considered suitable for verification is at the Promoter’s discretion. If an entry cannot be verified to the Promoter’s satisfaction, the entry will be invalid. 
  18. All decisions of the Promoter are at their complete discretions and are final. No correspondence will be entered into. 
  19. Personal information will be handled in accordance with Horticulture Innovation Australia Limited’s Privacy Policy: https://www.horticulture.com.au/privacy-policy
  20. Entrants should review the Privacy Policy for information about how personal information is collected, used, disclosed and managed.
  21. The Competition involves the collection of personal information. Entry in the Promotion is conditional on providing this personal information. Entrants’ personal information may be disclosed to third parties associated with the promotion, including but not limited to the Promoter, Hort Innovation Limited, service providers, gift suppliers and regulatory authorities. 
  22. If an entrant elects to receive future communications, the entrant consents to receiving marketing and promotional communications from Horticulture Innovation Australia Limited. Consent may be withdrawn at any time using the unsubscribe facility provided.
  23. These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales.
